Hundreds join Markel BMW Ultimate Drive® to Support Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
Markel BMW would like to thank everyone who participated in the 2008 BMW Ultimate Drive® in support of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure. This year, Markel raised over $15,000 with more than 4,500 miles driven! During this all-day event on July 3, 2008, over 218 participants visited Markel BMW to test drive specially decorated luxury BMWs, including the thrilling 3 Series Coupe, the sporty X3 SAV® and this year’s Signature Vehicle, the dynamic X6. For every mile driven by an Ultimate Drive participant, BMW will donate $1 to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
While waiting to test drive their BMW of choice, participants were treated to Snapple® beverages, manicures from JB’s Salon and Day Spa and music by harpist Kim Meyer. Other sponsors included Nobbies, Piccolos, and Deniz, which was offering shoe discounts and donating a portion of sales to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
